"Le Shopping" at Stissing House

The best venue to date!  We loved the setting and had a great weekend with our dear friends including the "Madder Hatters" and "Annie Walwyn-Jones".
A big thank you to Michel and Patricia Jean, owners of this great restaurant in Pine Plains, New York.

We showcased some new products:
For Christmas, Dan and I decided to add Holiday Pickles from friend, Anne Williams' Pennsylvania Pickle Company to our insulated lunch totes,

A big hit!  the lemon colored spiket vessel for lemonade, Ice tea, Margaritas or Hot cider... It will sit on your counter or you can  make room for it in the refrigerator. Also available in blue with green trim.

My good friend Marta P.  stopped by and I'm modeling a "Madder Hatter"  Gone Fishing hat!

We sold the second of the two Forest Floor Trays  from Dan's collection.  He is busy working on new trays for 2011.  These are  luminous gold and copper  leaf images with free form drawings of autumn leaves.under durable high gloss resin.

Bon Chef proudly introduces its patented 3 Wall Cold Wave Miracle Bowls. Pre-freezing these bowls will keep your food cold for 8 hours at ambient temperature. Outer air chamber prevents the bowl from sweating while keeping the inner chamber gel frozen. Each bowl comes with a stackable plastic lid. In our test results, a bowl was put in the freezer until gel was frozen. 35°F potato salad was placed in the bowl without lid and stirred every 30 minutes. After 8 hours the potato salad was at 38°F.

Second Tailgate Adventure Summer Classic in Springfield MA Aug 5,6 and 7th

Launch at Fitch's Corner July 24 &25th 2010

The Dress Rehersal

Our friends were so supportive! We popped up the tent and had a photo shoot for the pre-launch publicity.

It all started with a passion for picnics and summers in Millbrook

It happened a few days before Easter Sunday. A simple idea ignited a passion in me that spawned a  retail business. TAILGATES! Yes, Dan and I conjured up Tailgates. The flood gates of creativity and desire launched us on July 24th at Fitch's Corner Horse Trials. We incorporated and became weekend retailers. Our business plan requires that we attend at least 17 venues a year on weekends at events where we can pop up our follie and sell. We love tailgating and picnic parties so it was easy to imagine all of the accessories that make up the perfect outdoor movable feast.  The baskets and bags to carry or wheel to the venue, the revolutionary thermos bowls to keep food fresh. The elegant champagne bucket with stand, the melamine plates and trays, cheese boards, martini travel set and the ideas keep coming.  Dan produced beautiful lacquered trays with collages under impervious finishes and i designed the folding Camp table.
Alex Ross, of Public Relations firm 30 Segundos designed our logo and colors. He also art directed the photo shoot of our dress rehearsal before the launch on the driveway at "Beyond Time" . It was picture perfect!
So our weekend adventures began. We concentrated on venues that appeal to our spectator sport enthusiasm. Horses, Polo, car racing, antique cars, crew, sailing, hot air ballooning etc. Please help us with suggestions on where we should go next!
I make a press release for each up-coming event and launch or promote a new product.
